The Spirit of Ireland

£9.99

Product description

The Spirit of Ireland is more than a guide-book. Lynn Doyle aims to create in others the impression that the different parts of Ireland have made on her through a graceful and moving description of the Emerald Isle. This beautiful book is extensively illustrated with full page and half page photographs, and contains classic material dating back to the 1900s and before.
The dust jacket, once beautiful, is present but badly distressed. It has separated into two pieces along the rear of the spine and sections are missing from the top and base. The edges are badly chipped and there are cup rings on the front section. The subtle colours of the illustrated covers remain attractive, however. There is a neatly written ink dedication on the front free end paper. The book itself is tightly bound, with only minor foxing to text block edges, clear text and clear photographs.
