An elegant vintage wedding dress, possibly early 1960s, by Emenson.
The skirt is made of heavy off-white satin (possibly shantung or similar), and the top section is made from lace with a flower design picked out in ribbon giving a 3D, textured effect. It has a high waist with a 1.5" waistband, the ankle-length skirt is fitted to the body, then hangs straight down from the hips in almost a shift-dress style, typical of late 1950s, early 60s fashions.
The top has a wide, high round neckline and wide elbow length sleeves, which are lined with white organza. The top lace section of the dress is lined with white polyester, and the skirt is unlined. The dress is equally simple on the back, with a centre back zip fastening. There are three popper fastenings on the back - presumably there may have been an extra part to the dress, which is now missing.
A stunning vintage dress in a classic, timeless design, this "something old" is sure to make your day truly special.
