Vintage 1950s Eastern European Ethnic Folk Costume - Size: S - Multi-coloured - Short

Product description

Heavily embroidered by hand, this is a beautiful little folk costume. Thought to be Austrian but could be Slovakian or other eastern euro[pean country. Dating from the 1950s., this was given to one of our volunteers as a child but at 13, the costume was too small for her.

It is in several pieces:

* lace trimmed camisole
* embroidered hat
* embroidered ribbons (by machine)
* embroidered and sequin trimmed waistcoat
* embroidered blouse
* embroidered skirt in two pieces with ribbon ties and lace trim

The camisole is larger and has a bust measurement of 40" and length from shoulder - 20".
The waistcoat has a chest measurement of 28" and length 12". The blouse is looser and has a measurement of up to 32".

The skirt is adjustable for the waist and has a length of 25".
