A collection of Brooke Bond Tea Cards in Albums

£29.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

This is a set of 22 Brooke Bond Tea Card Albums, appearing to date from the 1960's and 1970's. One is empty but the others are complete with full sets of cards pasted in, with only very occasional gaps.

These were highly regarded classics of the time, attracting well known artists and contributors. For examples, the Famous People album has a foreword by Asa Briggs and the Asian Wildlife illustrations are by CF Tunnicliffe RA. They are also exemplars of their time when tea came in packets and young people collected cards.

These albums are in varying condition, all have been well loved, and one has lost its cover, but they are fascinating examples of how much the world has changed over the last few decades. Please see the photographs for more detail.
