Collection of Royal Shakespeare Company Programmes from 1950 to 1965

£17.99

Product description

This is a collection of brochures and programmes from the RSC. The first is a prospectus for 1950 when the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre hosted Measure for Measure, King Henry VIII, Julius Caesar, Much Ado About Nothing, and King Lear. Actors included John Gielgud, Peggy Ashcroft, and Anthony Quayle to name but a few. Included is also another overview of 1957, with accompanying programmes, and 1960 and 61. Also there are 3 programmes from 1964 and 4 from 1965: 18 pieces in total.
All are in good condition with some wear around the edges. The 1950 prospectus is rather grubby on the cover.
This is a great collection from the RSC which includes a period when some of the most famous names of our time appeared on the stage at Stratford.

Oxfam Books & Music Olney

Welcome to Oxfam Books And Music Olney, situated just off the market square in Stanley Court opposite the Co-op. Come and browse our extensive selection of books, music, DVDs, computer games and cards. In our shop you can discover a great range of material from the latest modern fiction to classic literature and vintage LPs. We are always happy to receive your donations of books or music, and you can choose to Gift Aid them to Oxfam. We might also be able to collect particularly large donations - just ask. We are always interested in hearing from people who wish to volunteer with us. Just pop in to collect an application form.

Could you help us by collecting donations from donors homes? Our shop receives many offers of generous donations that we have to turn down as we do not have volunteers able to collect. We would ask you to collect in your own car, at your convenience and reimburse your petrol costs. It might be a couple of times a month and would make a really big difference to our ability to make money.
