This is an box set of 8 DVDs containing 16 episodes, each with a run time of around 24 minutes. All footage is in black & white, with an aspect ratio of 4:3. It is an American series made in the early 1960s, with a narration style and production values typical of that era.

Each episode starts by briefly introducing two former soldiers from opposing armies who fought in the battle or campaign being covered by that particular episode and who are now (that's "now" as of the early 1960s when the series was produced) living in the United States. These introductions are along the lines of "he was formerly a sergeant in the Wehrmacht, but now he runs a spray painting shop in southern California".

Condition: Discs are all very good as is the presentation box.
