'Crash and Burn' sees a murder investigation begin when an elderly woman crashes her car into a crowded restaurant. In 'Precious Metal', the discovery of a body in the mountains leads Catherine, Nick and Sara into the world of robot wars. In 'A Night at the Movies', Grissom and Catherine look into the case of a cinema goer who has been stabbed to death. 'Last Laugh' sees the on-stage death of a comedian linked to the death of a teenager in a convenience store when it turns out both of them drank the same brand of water just before they died. In 'Forever', a horse trainer is trampled to death aboard a private jet, while Sara and Warrick investigate the deaths of two young lovers in the desert. 'Play With Fire' sees Catherine and Warrick trying to discover what caused an explosion in the DNA lab at C.S.I. Meanwhile, Grissom, Sara and Nick are investigating the murder of a woman in the press box at a sports event. 'Inside the Box' sees a bank robbery lead to the death of one of the detectives.
