Collection of four war-related films. In 'Running On Empty' (1987), River Phoenix stars as the musically talented son of two former student radicals from the 1960s. As the family has been on the run for so long, the boy has grown up living out of suitcases. But when he wins a place at a music college, the boy refuses to move again and the family is forced to confront its past and the FBI agents forever in pursuit. 'Escape to Victory' (1981) is set during World War II and focuses on a group of Nazi officers who come up with a propaganda event in which an all-star Nazi team will play a team composed of Allied prisoners of war in a football match. The prisoners agree, planning on using the game as a means of escape from the camp. 'Gettysburg' (1994), starring Tom Berenger, Martin Sheen and Jeff Daniels, is an epic re-telling of one of the most famous land battles in history which took place in 1863 during the American Civil War. Over 50,000 men died during the three-day battle. Finally, in 'Memphis Belle' (1990), the crew of the USAF bomber Memphis Belle, stationed in Britain during World War II, is preparing for its record-breaking 25th daylight mission. The mission will be as dangerous as ever but, if the men survive, they will return to the States as heroes.
