GET A CLUE/LIFE SIZE/CADET KELLY U

£6.99

Product description

Triple-bill of young teen comedies. In 'Get a Clue' (2002), Lexy (Lindsay Lohan), a privileged twelve-year-old who has spent her entire life amongst the wealthy and elite of Manhattan, prides herself on her ability to get the scoop and serve it up in her school's gossip column. However, when a photo she has taken of her teachers is published in the city's daily paper, one teacher goes missing. Lexy sets out to solve the mystery along with her working-class friend Jack (Bug Hall). In 'Life Size' (2000), 14-year-old Casey (Lohan) is dispirited and downcast following her mother's death, and feels she and her father (Jere Burns) are losing their closeness. When she comes across a book of magic spells she decides to make use of it and try to bring her mother back to life. But her well-intended plan goes hilariously wrong and instead she brings to life her fashion doll Eve (Tyra Banks). Eve is delighted to find herself in the world but has a lot to learn and Casey does not feel prepared to take her under her wing. Finally, in 'Cadet Kelly' (2002), Hilary Duff stars as Kelly Collins, an artistic, fashion-minded teen who's forced to go from flashy fab to olive drab at her new step dad's military academy. As the clumsiest, most clueless recruit ever to botch basic training, Kelly seems to be fighting an uphill battle to fit in. But it's all-out war when she butts heads with Cadet Captain Stone (Christy Carlson Romano), a tough-as-nails, by-the-book, 'commanding officer' determined to break her spirit. See how once-carefree Kelly keeps it together amidst endless rules and regulations to win Stone's respect, while still managing to leave her own unique mark on the school.

Oxfam Bookshop Lymington

Lymington is on the South coast, bordering on the New Forest National Park which was created as a Royal Forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror, and first recorded as 'Nova Foresta' in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Our Oxfam Shop at 73, The High Street is in a lovely Georgian building, the tallest in Lymington. The elegant Georgian buildings lining the wide main street were built mostly for merchants in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market brings the town to life with its variety of stalls. The area is renowned for outdoor pursuits, including camping, sailing, windsurfing, and surfing, as well as forest walks and horse riding.
