Guide to Garden Birds (1989 Joint BBC-RSPB release narrator Attenborough VHS) E

£3.99

Product description

The British love wild birds - over half of us regularly feed them, spending more on bird-feed than any other country in Europe. But can you identify all those customers at your feeding table? Can you tell a swallow from a swift in flight?

Help is at hand for children and adults alike, with this entertaining and informative VHS video-cassette. It is specially designed to make identification easy for the back-garden birdwatcher, confused by the many different species of birds that visit our gardens every year.

Featuring our most frequent visitors, the VHS is compiled from the unrivalled film and video libraries of the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, and the British Broadcasting Corporation's Natural History Unit. The guide is divided into Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter sections. There is also a Quick Reference feature, so that 50 of our most common garden-visitors can be identified with ease.

On the reverse sleeve of the VHS cover, you will find a complete species listing and index, to help you navigate the video. This VHS video also features :-
- Action sequences of all the common species as they appear in the wild as well as in close up.
- On screen indexing to allow rapid location of individual species.
- Split-screen displays, so that similar species can be compared side by side.

(approx. 85 minutes)
The VHS cassette is in EX+ condition.
