Othello Non-classified

£12.00

Product description

"A very gripping version of Othello. If you are finding Shakespeare hard or a bit of a bore then try this version. It is far better than most and makes Anthony Hopkin's in the BBC take look pathetic. The Lawrence Olivier version is stuck in the times in which he lived and I found the version directed by Trevor Nunn muffled and it did not have sub titles.

So this version has subtitles too. It may be a movie version and some of the original text left out but it is a fantastic aid in understanding. It makes Shakespeare fun and helps prove that he is as alive today as he was in his own times. The immortal Shakespeare!

It is always best to read a few notes on the plays and the characters before you watch them. You can simply search on Othello and glean information from the simplest of notes that help turn this play into a modern day horror story right in front of your eyes. For those who feed upon the truth of Shakespeare there is plenty here to nourish your appetite and plenty of verse to learn off by heart to guide you on your life journey." (Amazon)
