The Hound Of The Baskervilles
Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett) returns to investigate one of his most famous cases. When Sir Charles Baskerville is found dead with an expression of utter terror on his face, the locals ascribe his demise to the ancient family curse - a hell-hound, said to roam the moors. With the aid of Doctor Watson (Edward Hardwicke), Holmes sets out to discover whether there is any substance to the legend - before Sir Henry Baskerville, newly arrived from America to claim his inheritance, also falls prey to the family curse.
The Master Blackmailer
Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett) returns to investigate another case. All London fears Charles Augustus Milverton (Robert Hardy), for he is a master blackmailer. This unpleasant fellow has spent years preying on the weaknesses of others and has made his fortune in the process; but now, with the able assistance of Doctor Watson (Edward Hardwicke), Holmes is set to put an end to his unethical practices once and for all.

A Sherlock Holmes double bill, with Jeremy Brett as the famous sleuth. In 'The Devil's Foot', Holmes sets off to Cornwall for a holiday but ends up trying to solve another mystery. Something has happened which has rendered one woman dead and turned her brothers insane. In 'Silver Blaze', a valuable racehorse disappears the day before a major race is to take place, and the owner is found dead in suspicious circumstances.
