Steptoe & Son - Series Seven [ PG

£3.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

2 discs

All seven episodes from the seventh - and penultimate - series of the classic BBC television comedy about the father and son who run a junkyard and scrap metal business, played by Harry H. Corbett and Wilfrid Brambell. Episodes are: 'Men of Letters', 'A Star is Born', 'Oh What a Beautiful Morning', 'Live Now, P.A.Y.E. Later', 'Loathe Story', 'Divided We Stand' and 'The Desperate Hours'.

Synopsis

BBC TV's beloved rag-and-bone men Steptoe and Son return to their quarrelsome antics in this, the show's seventh series. Episodes include:
"Men of Letters" - Harold jumps at the chance of supplying an article for the parish magazine on the history of the rag-and-bone trade in Shepherd's Bush. Could it be the start of a wonderful new career?
"A Star is Born" - Albert and Harold are both offered parts in the local amateur dramatic society's latest production, but who will upstage who? Only the opening night will tell.
"Oh What a Beautiful Mourning" - The death of Albert's tight-fisted brother, George, means yet another Steptoe funeral and Albert's keen to claim his share of the pickings. But when the squabbling clan race back from the cemetery like vultures to a carcass, they find that the house has been burgled... or has it?
"Live Now, PAYE Later"
"Loathe Story"
"Divided We Stand"
"The Desperate Hours" - Albert and Harold have hit hard times; the house is colder than the Russian front, there are piles of bills big enough to paper the room with, and all Harold's eaten all day is a carrot that he stole from the horse...
