Winter ritual song and traditions from Brittany, Cornwall, ireland, Isle of Man, Scotland and Wales.
SayDisc really went to town on this one, getting together a group of top-class musicians and singers including the brilliant Julie Murphy, Arthur Cormack and Dougie Pincock. They treated the 'Celtic' remit very broadly; the album includes seasonal songs in Welsh, Breton, Gaelic, and even the obsolete languages of Manx and Cornish (not Irish, though, which is probably the most widely known Celtic language). But it also features tunes from Shetland - included I suppose because it is part of Scotland, though not remotely Celtic - Irish songs in English, and pieces which are indistinguishable from English folk carols.
Both disc and case are in excellent condtion
