Beethoven: Symphony No 5 in C Minor - LXT 2851

£9.99

Product description

One of the most well known, one of the most frequently played symphonies in classical music. Beethoven's 5th symphony was described by the legendary music critic and writer E.T.A Hoffman as "one of the most important works of our time." It would not be an overstatement to declare that from the initial performances of this piece, that it's influence and effect were groundbreaking to the world of music. Fundamentally, recognised for it's sublime, emotionally ravishing, hypnotic exploration and expression of human longing, and what this means for the human condition. Indeed, the force by which this is conveyed is so potent as to have been described as "each thoughtful listener is assuredly stirred, deeply and intimately, by a feeling that is none other than that unutterable portentous longing."
Vinyl is in good condition. Condition of the case is satisfactory, although has attained some marks and some scuffing from age.
Matrix No. ARL 1854 - 1A
