A1 - Raga: Shyam Kalyan-Teental (Sixteen beats rhythm)
This is an evening melody of the Kalyan group in which both the aspects of the fourth note are featured, namely, the natural and the sharp.
The melody suggests a mood of sad grace.

B1 - Raga: Durga-Teental (Sixteen beats rhythm)
This is a pentatonic raga, the scale being:-
Ascent: SA RE MA PA DHA SA
Descent: SA DHA PA MA RE SA
The third and seventh notes are absent from the melody. The melody denotes an emotion of dignity and poise.
B2 - Dhun-A melody of light variety.

Ustad Bismillah Khan is stated to be the foremost shenai player of India. The music associated with Bollywood.

Media condition - Very Good. The record plays well and has little surface noise, although there is a little more crackle at the very beginning of each side.
Sleeve condition - Very Good-. The sleeve is slightly degraded at the edges with surface missing in the corners on the back - this does not extend into the text.

Oxfam Bookshop Lymington

Lymington is on the South coast, bordering on the New Forest National Park which was created as a Royal Forest in 1079 by William the Conqueror, and first recorded as 'Nova Foresta' in the Doomsday Book in 1086. Our Oxfam Shop at 73, The High Street is in a lovely Georgian building, the tallest in Lymington. The elegant Georgian buildings lining the wide main street were built mostly for merchants in the local salt trade. The famous Saturday market brings the town to life with its variety of stalls. The area is renowned for outdoor pursuits, including camping, sailing, windsurfing, and surfing, as well as forest walks and horse riding.
