Copy of the collectable, two-CD box-set, with the full title : " George Frideric Handel - A COLLECTOR's MESSIAH - Historic Handel Oratorio Recordings, 1899-1930 ".

Disc One :-
1) Judas Maccabeus : "My arms! / against this Gorgias will I go / Sound an alarm!" (rec.1908 ; 4:01 ; tenor Edward Lloyd, cond unknown).
2) "Every valley shall be exalted" (rec.1899 ; 1:37 ; tenor W D McFarland, pianist unknown).

The 1906 G & T "Messiah" (34:41 ; tenor John Harrison, bass Charles Knowles, contralto Elizabeth Dews, soprano Perceval Allen, cond unknown) :-
3) "Comfort ye my people" 4) "Every valley shall be exalted" 5) "Thus saith the Lord" 6) "But who may be abide the day of His coming" 7) "O thou that tellest good tidings to Zion" 8) "For behold darkness shall cover the earth" 9) "Come unto Him" 10) "But thou didst not leave His soul in Hell" 11) "How beautiful are the feet" 12) "Why do the nations so furiously rage together?" 13) "Thou shalt break them" 14) "I know that my Redeemer liveth".

The 1907 Leeds Festival Choir recordings (7:23 ; 60 choir voices, orch cond H A Fricker) :-
15) "And the Glory of the Lord" 16) "Hallelujah".

The 1926 Crystal Palace Handel Festival recordings (17:07 ; choir voices, orch cond Sir Henry J Wood, organist Wood) :-
17) "And the Glory of the Lord" 18) "Behold the Lamb of God" 19) "He trusted in God" 20) "Lift up your heads" 21) "Let us break their bonds asunder".

The 1930 Philharmonic Choir Recordings (8:32 ; choir voices, soprano Elsie Suddaby, cond Charles K Scott) :-
22) "For unto us a child is born" 23) "There were shepherds abiding in the fields / And lo! the angel of the Lord / And the angel said unto them / And suddenly there was with the angel / Glory to God".

Disc Two contains an initial 15 tracks dedicated to various recordings of "Messiah" in London opera houses and theatres, during the 1920s (durations, year and performers given when known).
The remaining 7 tracks on Disc Two are especially interesting : they once-again return to the Late-1900s / Early-1910s, for recordings made in the US (again, durations, year & performers if known).

Disc One is in VG+ condition.
Disc Two is in EX condition.
