The Title page reads: ' Varied Harmonies and Organ Accompaniment (and Voices Ad Libitum) of Certain Tines in Hymns Ancient & Modern'

Published in 1912 it includes both a selection from the 'Old Edition' of 1889 and the 'New Edition' of 1904. Contains the musical score of some 36 hymns and a guide to when suitable to use them. The cover is attractively embossed, with gilt lettering.

The large format makes this very easy to read and use.

There is a stamp in the front page and the title page reading: 'H FR Heath, 165 St Andrew's Road, Bridport, Dorset'.
The cover shows some signs of rubbing wear and there is a split to the front internal binding (see third photo). However the internal pages are sound and in a clean unannotated condition.
