In 1954 Otto Klemperer enjoyed a career renaissance on his return to Europe from the United States. Walter Legge, needing a new conductor for the Philharmonia Orchestra, turned to Klemperer and the result was a celebrated series of recordings for EMI including Beethoven. This collection contains recordings of Beethoven’s Nine Symphonies.

Such was Klemperer’s influence on the Philharmonia that he held the post of principal conductor and became synonymous with the orchestra until his death in 1973.

The vinyl is in very good condition with no visible marks or scratches other than some wear around the spindle hole. The cover and inner sleeve are in very good condition
