£14.99

Product description

'Later That Same Year' is the 1970 album by country rock/folk rock musician Ian Matthews' band Matthews' Southern Comfort. This was Ian's third album after his departure from Fairport Convention. This is the UK version which includes the song 'Jonah' not found on the US release.

Iain Matthews (born Iain Matthew McDonald, 16 June 1946) is an English musician and songwriter. He was a singer with Fairport Convention before forming his own band, Matthews Southern Comfort, which had a UK number one in 1970 with a cover version of Joni Mitchell's song "Woodstock". Born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, England, Matthews was known in the 1960s as Ian McDonald, then as Ian Matthews. In 1989, he reverted to the original spelling of his first name.

Significant ring wear is visible on the sleeve, also scuffing, most likely from removal of an old price sticker (see image). The spine and corners all have knocks and bumps from general handling. The vinyl, which is that wonderful heavyweight type rather than the cheaper flexible version, is in excellent, condition, no visible flaws.
