Paul Mauriat And His Orchestra: Mauriat Magic - Philips - PHS 600 - 270

£8.99 Out Of Stock

Product description

Truly an inexplicable, hauntingly talented giant of modern musical innovation and extravagance. Training as a concert pianist, at the age of 17 he altered his plans, and developing an eclectic musical orchestra found rapid success in Paris, providing the orchestral arrangements and scores for leading singers and performers. It was the originality, the searing way in which Mauriat could meld songs in to his own vision, could inflect them with an enchanting power to become new, to captivate and delight. His landmark piece "Love Is Blue" destroyed the likes of the Beatles when it became a No 1 in many different charts in the US; the Rock 100, the Pop 100 etc.
The successor to that 'Mauriat Magic' is a blinding abundance of talent, comported with the despotic authority of one who is in full possession of directing in whatever way, the ethereal omniscience of a shattering mesmerism.
Vinyl is fine, delicate and without dust. Box is a dream.
Matrix No. PHS600270B - M4
