Roll 'Em Pete: 25 Years of Piano Blues and Boogie

£39.99

Product description

The latest instalment in Castle/Indigo's comprehensive, 3-CD Boxed set showcases of vintage and contemporary Blues - Roll'Em Pete charts the progress of Piano Blues, from its earliest, late 20s beginnings, through Barrelhouse, Boogie-Woogie and pounding Rhythm'n'Blues, to the outbreak of Rock'n'Roll. With 80 tracks, from 76 artists, every aspect of Blues and Boogie piano is explored, carefully programmed to edify, delight, and entertain. All the major players of the era are represented, ranging from those readily-identifiable to the downright obscure - we’ve even unearthed a side which features legendary singer/guitarist Lonnie Johnson, unusually accompanying himself on piano! This music is both timeless and wholly irresistible: drop the laser onto any track, and watch your socks streak into orbit.

The CD cover has minor colour dis-figuration and a minor dent in the bottom left hand corner however the rest off the CD is fine and still had the original CD Covers and Booklet inside.
