2 issues of Wales poetry magazine: Nos 25 + 27 (Spring + December 1947)

£7.99

Product description

1: No 25 (Spring 1947). Includes article 'the Claim of Wales' by Aneurin Bevan MP; translation of Heine by Vernon Watkins; and a review of RS Thomas's 'the Stones of the field'

2: No 27 (December 1947). Includes article 'a Social experiment' by Stafford Cripps MP; poem by Roland Mathias; and 14 black/white photos + map plan, to accompany the article 'the Changing face of South Wales'

NB At about this time the magazine became more politically-oriented so there are fewer poems in the content than previously.

Paperbacks. No 25 stapled, No 27 has external card cover a little larger than text, though damage to edges is minimal. No highlighting or other notes. A very small piece of page 363/364 of No 27 has been torn out - does not affect the text though
