A practical approach to civil procedure

£7.99

Product description

Any lawyer practising in the civil courts in England and Wales needs a thorough grasp of practice and procedure, and the rules of practice as applied by the courts. Taking a practical, rather than an academic, approach to the topic of Civil Litigation, this book provides an excellent commentary on all the major areas of civil procedure. It has been designed to cover points that are likely to arise in day-to-day practice. It explains the various procedures that must be followed as a claim progresses from its early stages through its interim stages and on to trial, enforcement, and possible appeal. The new edition includes numerous changes made by amendments to the Civil Procedure Rules and Practice Directions, including changes to appeals, dispositions and the electronic issue of proceedings. Among the cases discussed are Bloomsbury Publishing group v News Group Newspapers on granting interim injunctions against persons unknown , Binks v Securicor Omega Express on the requirement to have a statement of truth when pleading alternative or inconsistent cases, and Man (E.D. and F.) Liquid Products Ltd v Patel dealing with the burden of proof in applications for summary judgment.;Also notable are Flightline Travel Services v Gill on freezing injunctions, Bhamjee v Forsdick on restraining litigants who are persistently vexatious, and Marcic v Thames Water Utilities on the scope of arts. 6(1) and 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights.

Paperback with glossy covers. Minimal shelf wear.

Internally clean and unmarked.

Oxfam Shop Southampton

We have a dedicated bridal suite within the Oxfam's Southampton shop, with good quality fashionable bridal wear and accessories, new and second-hand, usually with a choice of over 200 dresses. Many of our beautiful wedding dresses can be taken home on the day. We also have another suite with a range of bridesmaid dresses, groom outfits, veils and lots of other wedding accessories.  Selected bridal items are available to order online.

Trying your first wedding gown is by appointment only by booking here.  During one hour of a free appointment, you will have our stylist volunteer to help you choose and try the dresses on. Usually you have time to try 5-6 dresses, but if there's time you can try as many as you like. Please help us to maintain our dresses in a good condition for other brides to try. You can wear make-up, but we will provide you with a face cover to prevent transferring the make-up to our dresses. The appointment will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 to 3.

In the main shop, we sell good quality clothes, books and homewares. We also stock greetings cards and a range of 'green' products.
