A three-dimensional Edwardian doll house

£50.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

This is a three-dimensional Edwardian doll house, that was Illustrated by Brian and Lizzie Sanders and published by the Book People Ltd in 1995. It is in the style of a book with front and back boards, the front board is pictorial showing a grand Edwardian house and gardens, the back has a description of the dolls house along with a picture of it folded out. Here is the description word for word: "This two-story, eight-room carousel doll house is complete with pop-up furniture and a press-out doll family. Tie back the strings and the doll house stands on its own, revealing exquisite Edwardian details such as ceiling murals, decorative rugs and even a stand up Victrola. This dream house will provide hours of sun for those who want to play with it or will make an elegant collectable." There is some bumping to the top and bottom of the spine The dolls house opens up like a book, with the spine acting as a central pivot it opens up so the front and back boards are adjacent to each other, they are then secured in place by tying the two pairs blue ribbons to there opposite. As the dolls house unfolds various features pop up and move into place. Included are the pop out play figures which are a rocking horse, a baby or doll, two young girls, a rabbit, a young boy, a cat in a basket, a dog, a woman and a man. These are unused and still in the card insert. There is one piece of damage to the pop out features, in the children's bed room the bed has come away from the floor and no longer folds out with the various details. The details are bright, clean and clear with no discolouration and the binding is tight and strong.
