Annals of the Lothian Foundation Volume 1 1991

£24.99

Product description

The Lothian Foundation was established in 1986 to educate the public in the problems and ways of achieving better relations between the peoples of the European Community and between them and other peoples. Its establishment commemorated the work of Philip Kerr, 11th Marquess of Lothian, as a pioneer of federalism. This book collects a number of papers submitted to the Foundation in three sections. The first part, The Chronicles of the Foundation, include reports on the Foundation's main activities. Part two includes essays in honour of a public figure who has had a distinguished career in the service of peace and the unification of mankind. For this inaugural edition David Astor was chosen. Part three is devoted to unpublished documents of great interest for historical research.
