435pp. Lavishly illustrated large format history of Antwerp from the Middle Ages to the 1980s, focusing mainly on its role as a trading, artistic and cultural centre. Many full colour reproductions of paintings and b/w photographs of maps and modern features. Overall condition is very good. Dustcover remains bright and colourful, with small 3mm tear to base of spine. The gilt embossed boards feature illustrated endpapers and are in excellent condition with slight wear to the base of the spine. The block remains bright, tightly bound and unmarked, with an 'ex libris' sticker. A Birds Eye View of Antwerp, published by the Open University, is also included in the sale.
