Atlas of Electrochemical Equilibria in Aqueous Solutions by Marcel Pourbaix

£70.00 Out Of Stock

Product description

A Study of electrochemical reactions occurring in an aqueous medium near an electrode. Utilises Pourbaix pH diagrams to predict, on a thermodynamic basis for a given element, equilibrium states of all possible reactions between an element, its ions, and its solid and gaseous compounds in the presence of water. Diagrams provide data concerning possible reactions important in the study of corrosion in aqueous media. Presents chemical configuration of systems predicted on a thermodynamic basis in potential pH diagrams. Explaining methods of establishing pH equilibrium diagrams, and includes those that characterise equilibrium conditions at 25oC for processes involving water, hydrogen, peroxide, and 90 elements. 7 tables, 255 figures, references, index.

The book is in very good condition, the only minor flaw is slight discoloration at the top page edge of the book, some minor shelf wear. On the inside cover there is a signature from a previous owner. Otherwise really good binding no major flaws.
