The autobiography of influential left wing politician and lawyer D.N.Pritt, published in 1965-66. Includes 3 separate books; part one : From right to left, part two : Brashats and Bureaucrats and part three : The defence accuses. Beginning with the Author being called to the bar in 1909, part one offers an account of the author's increased involvement in left wing politics, including his chairmanship of the Riechstag Fire Enquiry Commission. Part two begins with his 1945 victory over the official Labour candidate in North Hammersmith, in the 1945 general election, and ends with the loss of his seat in 1950, and part 3 covers the following decade, during which he defended a number of political cases worldwide.
All 3 books are ex-library, with some stickers and marks, mostly inside the front covers. Part one has a few small or moderate tears in the dust jacket, the edges of the pages are a yellowed from dust and age. Part two has less damage to the dust jacket, there are a few small tears at the ends of the spine, the pages are in good condition but with a few marks on top from age. Part three has some fading on the cover, but no tears, as with the other copies there's some marks round the edges of the pages from dust.
