Called to be Saints - Christina G Rossetti

£250.00

Product description

'Called to be Saints: The Minor Festivals Devotionally Studied' by Christina G Rossetti published in London by Society For Promoting Christian Knowledge. There is no publication date but it is possibly 1885. The book is in a hardcover in a very dark navy colour with golden gilt. There is a dedication paper on the inside cover which is dated April 1894 (see photo) which shows that the SPCK presented the book to the Irfon and Ithon Clerical Library. There is also a piece of paper on the inside back cover which is from the clerical library itself stating the lending conditions for the book.

The book consists of 520 pages with 8 pages at the rear detailing other publications available by the Society. 7 x 5" in size. The binding is in excellent condition but the cover is slightly bumped at the edges and there is damp/mould damage to the bottom right of the cover and on the back at the bottom left. There is some foxing to the pages inside.
