Frederick Lonsdale (1881-1954) was a British playwright who wrote a number of successful librettos for musicals as well as plays and screenplays.

Canaries Sometimes Sing, a comedy, was first performed at the Globe Theatre, London, in 1929. The cast list of four actors is shown in the book. It transferred to Broadway, and was made into a film of the same name in 1931.

Hardback with dust jacket. Jacket has a few small tears and chips. Foxing throughout, but no notes or inscriptions.
