Product description

First edition 1931 with a signed dedication on the first free
endpaper from the author to the actress Gwen Ffrangcon-Davies which reads: "For
Gwen with love & admiration from Kinsey August 1st 1933". Kinsey
Peile was a British playwright and stage actor. He also acted in several
British silent films. Gwen Ffrangcon-Davies was a notable 20th
century stage, screen and radio actress.

Yellow cloth hard covers with blue titles on the front and
spine. The boards are tanned around the margins and edges, the spine is sunned
and discoloured. The page edges are tanned/foxed. The title pages and
corresponding endpapers are foxed and there are occasional foxing spots through
the text block. No other inscriptions and the binding is tight.

The autobiography of Kinsey Peile, 1862-1934, describing his
military and theatrical careers.
