1900 illustrated edition of this book first published 2 years before. Illustrated by B. West Clinedinst with a few line drawings by C. D. Farrand. There is also a photograph of the author inside.

Blue cloth boards with a gilt design on the front and gilt lettering on the spine. Some scratches and small marks on the front and back, and bumping/rubbing on the corners, and small splits in the cloth top and bottom of the spine. Otherwise the boards are in good order. The binding is slightly slack but all pages firmly bound in. Some cracking in the binding between the front endpaper and front illustration. The pages are rough cut and mostly clean with no foxing, though there is some browning on the front and back endpapers.
