Doctor Goes North - Scotland Revisted - George Mair

£24.99

Product description

Dr Mair has turned northwards in an effect to rediscover Scotland. Dr Mair has divided his book into two parts. Part one is an account of his tours as a whole, and part two, a complete and complementary guide, giving details of excursions from well known centres, together with information as to how to get there.

For all those who plan to visit Scotland - and for those who don't but who still like to pick up odd and fascinating information - there is a detailed guide to Edinburgh, much historical data and clan-lore, and a collection of Scots recipes to bring home south of the border.

The book itself is in very good condition, with no rips, tears or staining. The front page has a dedication written in ink "From Jean With Love, Christmas 1962"

The dust jacket however is well worn. It has be torn in many places and has been repaired on the inside with sellotape. The edges of the dust jacket has many frays.
