Doctor Who: 11 Doctors 11 Stories [signed by Marcus Sedgwick and Charlie Higson]

£35.00

Product description

Written for the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, this collection brings together 11 well-loved children's authors and asks them to imagine a new adventure for each incarnation of the Doctor. The settings are as vibrant and as varied as those featured across the show's history. Marcus Sedgwick takes us back to the Vikings; Philip Reeve sets his on a sentient space station that also happens to be a tree; Charlie Higson draws on ancient Babylon as the inspiration for his tale.

Our copy is signed by two of the authors: Marcus Sedgwick and Charlie Higson. Sedgwick is the author of several young adult books, starting with Floodland back in 2000 which won the Branford Boase award. Since then his novels have been consistently nominated for many prestigious awards, including the Carnegie Medal. Charlie Higson made his name as an actor and writer on the comedy sketch show The Fast Show (1994 - 2000). He has since gone on to establish himself as a successful writer of thrillers for young adults, and is most well known for his Young Bond and The Enemy series.

Our edition is the first time all stories were collected in one volume, published by Puffin in 2013. The condition is very good, although there is a little shelfwear to the edges.
