Down The Bright Stream

£30.00

Product description

200 pp, Hardback, missing dust jacket - Green cloth-covered boards, faded with some bumping and fraying to edges. Page block is reasonably tight and square, with minor staining and foxing. Pages are otherwise clean and sharp. 16 attractive colour plates, plus further b/w illustrations (by D. J. Watkins-Pitchford) throughout. This edition is undated, but would appear to be the FIRST EDITION (1948), because of the typo on the list of plates (Plate 8 is opposite page 120 and not 128 as stated). There is an 'Ex Libris' label attached inside the front cover. The sequel to Watkins-Pitchford's "The Little Grey Men", about the adventures of a family of gnomes.
