Publisher: James Nisbet & Co, London, 14th edition, c1894. Hardback, 437 pages, illus with b&w plates. The attractive pictorial cover in light blue cloth boards with gilt titling to spine and front and illustration in red, black and gold, is in good condition for its age with some fading to spine, light bumping to spine exttremities and a few handling marks. Internally the book is in generally good, sound and fcrim condition with moderate tanning to pages, a few handling marks and a little foxing here and there commensurate with age. Hinge slightly weakened at front endpaper but binding still generally tight and secure. Some scuffs and handling marks to endpapers. Attractive school prize label (dated 1894) on front pastedown. Overall, a sound and honest copy of this attractive old childrens' adventure book and an unusual title from the author of the well known classic 'The Coral Island'
