Product description

A book in the 'Culture' science fiction series written by the late Scottish author Iain M. Banks. The stories centre on the Culture, a Utopian, post-scarcity space society of humanoids, aliens, and very advanced artificial intelligences living in Socialist habitats spread across the Milky Way. The main theme of the novels is the dilemma of an idealistic hyperpower dealing with civilizations that do not share its ideals, and whose behaviour it sometimes finds repulsive.
Iain Banks (16 February 1954 – 9 June 2013) was a Scottish author. He wrote mainstream fiction under the name Iain Banks and science fiction as Iain M. Banks, including the initial of his adopted middle name Menzies.
Our copy is signed by the author. It is hardback, with a dust jacket in good condition, with a little scuffing on the lettering. The book is in good condition, with some yellowing to pages edges.
