After extensive research we believe this book is one of just 250 copies ever printed and due to its age there must surely be very few in existence.
"Publishers' Note - The Publishers wish to express their gratitude to Messrs. George Bell and Sons, Ltd, for permission to use their translation of some of the stories which appear in Andersen's Danish Fairy Tales in Bohn's Illustrated Library, and to Messrs. J. M. Dent and Sons, Ltd., for permission to use their translation of some of the stories which appear in Fairy Tales from Hans Christian Andersen in Everyman's Library."
First published in October 1935, printed for R Cobden-Sunderson Ltd. by Shenval Press and bound by Leighton-Straker Bookbinding Co. Ltd. Illustrated by Rex Whistler.
With some of Hans Andersen most famous tales The Red Shoes, The Little Mermaid, The Snow Queen and not forgetting The Ugly Duckling and many more family favourites, this book will bring enjoyment to young and old alike.
With stunning illustrations by Rex Whistler this book would be a great addition to any collection.
Due to its age there are a few tears to the book, tear to spine approx. 7 cm (please see photographs), but even so it is in a fair to good condition, overall a decent copy with no writing.
