First edition, first printing of Mary MacCallum Webster's peerless book on the flora of Moray, Nairn and Inverness, superbly detailed, with photographs and line drawings. This copy contains several memorabilia including a list of corrigenda which correspond to the text, a moving letter from Mary Webster written during her final illness and a pasted in newspaper cutting of her death notice (Nov 7 1985). The book is signed and dated 'Mary MacCallum Webster, 16.3.1978'. The bookmark of the previous owner (and probable recipient of the letter ) is on the title page. The book is in very good condition, square, clean and showing no signs of foxing. The jacket is slightly scuffed at the edges. It is not price clipped and it is protected by a Mylar cover. A unique tribute to a remarkable lady.
