Overall very good condition. Some very slight corner bumping. Spine is not creased. Top edge of the front cover has some wear. Back cover has two diagonal creases. Small scrape along top edge of back cover. Perfect binding still intact. Interior is very good condition.

Late Victorian to early Twentieth Century photographer. Life in the fishing communities of Whitby, positively and unsentimentally portrayed, The composition is as important as any message inferred from the content.
