Gallows View: An Inspector Banks Mystery

£19.99

Product description

Gallows View introduces a delightful new sleuth, a crime-solver with a zest for life, Chief Inspector Alan Banks.

The Banks family has recently moved from London to Eastvale, an old market town in Yorkshire and the very picture of loveliness. But trouble brews beneath the surface. The women of Eastvale are scared. A Peeping Tom lurks outside their windows at night, watching them prepare for bed. He has not yet physically harmed anyone, but he is a menacing threat. What is more, teenage thugs are terrorising elderly Eastvale ladies, entering their homes and stealing their meagre possessions. When the rampage turns to murder, fear runs deep. With deft, suspenseful plotting, the story builds to a surprising and terrifying climax. Shortlisted for top awards abroad - the John Creasey Award in Britain and the Crime Writers Award in Canada - Gallows View is an auspicious series debut.

Very good condition. Pink paper covered boards are quarter bound in black cloth. Boards are clean and undamaged. Pages are clean although front edges are a little grubby. Binding is tight. Dust jacket is covered in a plastic film and is undamaged but shows some tanning.
