Geoff Morten: Two Lands - Paintings, Prints And Drawings, 1996-1998

£19.99

Product description

This paperback exhibition catalogue is in a good condition overall. It was published by The School of Arts, Design and Communications by the University of Sunderland in 1998. There is a foreword by Pru Farrier and an introduction by Mike Collier. Geoff Morten 1947-2009 was a British painter and printmaker trained at the Royal College of Art in London where he received a Masters degree in Fine Art. He exhibited throughout the world and lectured in Universities and Art Schools in England, Europe and the USA. His work occupies an area between figuration and abstraction and the use of a personal symbolic narrative which takes place within psychologically highly charged pictorial spaces.

The catalogue consists of colour and black & white plates showing Geoff Morten's work, plus his biographical details, awards and commissions, exhibitions and publications. There is a crease on the front cover near the spine where the blue card has been folded back and there is some slight rubbing on the corners. There is an inscription in the black ink on the title page.

Oxfam Bookshop Hexham

We relocated in January 2016 to larger premises and are now able to offer a wider range of books and music (you can come and check out your musical choices in our listening booth and also find out a lot more about Oxfam's work.). We have a new local interest section, more space for history and have extended our craft and arts offer.  We also sell cards, fair trade food and ethical cleaning and beauty products.

Hexham is a market town situated in the beautiful Tyne Valley - the ideal stopping off point before exploring Hadrian's Wall, Chesters, Housesteads and the Temple of Mithras at Carrawburgh.
