Gullible's Travels

£19.99

Product description

Gullible's Travels , by Alan Hess and published by Motor Racing Publications ltd. in 1948 is the tale of a Goodwill tour of seven European capitals in seven days. The book includes 19 pages of monochrome illustrations as well as a fold out monochrome map inserted as a frontispiece . The book then begins with a Foreword written by L. P. Lord. It includes 9 chapters , each ending with a black print of the flags from the countries they traveled to.

The book is hardback with a dust cover.

The book's condition is fine : none of the pages have any markings and are very clean, accept from the inside cover ~ there are traces of a previous marking in pencil. The dust cover has been damaged from shelf wear and also due to the fact that it is made out of paper. The dust cover also has a lot of discolouration from exposure to sunlight and also from previous owners placing cups of coffee or tea on it - leaving darker circles. Underneath the dust cover, the book has a few darker stains from more coffee or tea cups being placed on it, however, these are nearly unnoticeable as the book's cover is a dark material. Each corner of the book shows shelf wear and the spine has discolouration and has minor damage, but still holds a gilt title .
