History of the Dress of the Royal Regiment of Artillery

£7.99

Product description

This book is a replication of a book originally published before 1899 in a limited edition by Captain MacDonald's definitive study of the Royal Regiment of Artillery. The original work was written, under the auspices of the Committee of the Royal Artillery Institution, to supplement Kane's "List of Officers of the Royal Regiment of Artillery" and includes sections covering the development of uniforms for both the RA and RHA from the early days, during Charles I reign, to the late 19th Century.

There are twenty five full colour plates from the original drawings made by Captain MacDonald as well as innumerable line drawings of armour and equipment.

PLEASE NOTE ONE OF THE PAGES IS ATTACHED BY SELLOTAPE (PLEASE SEE THE PICTURES FOR THE PAGE IN QUESTION), the cover is slightly frayed at the top and the pages are slightly discoloured given the age of the book , otherwise the book is in a sturdy condition.
