Hardback, Spine, red cloth, faded, chipped top and bottom, near the top left hand side has a 2 cm split and 1 cm chip at the bottom rubbed top to bottom, gilt lettering, illustration of Britannia blue background with gilt embellishments, Front board, red cloth, title black lettering, on a yellow flag, blue flag top left hand corner, illustration of a sailing ship and Britannia, blue and white background with gilt embellishments, rubbed, shelf worn, bumped, Backboard, red cloth, embossed lettering, rubbed, shelf-worn bumped. Faded gilt top edge, Edges sunned with handling marks. In used fair condition. Paste-down has a inscription of a previous owner, with some foxing. End-paper has some foxing . Rear paste-down has some foxing. End-paper stained with some foxing. Some pages are shaken. many have handling marks and foxing, at least three have pencil marks.

Darlington is one of the largest Oxfam shops in the country. We sell a large and varied range of good quality mens, womens and childrenswear in a range of labels from High Street to Designer. We also have a range of beautiful Bridalwear and Retro clothing, and a huge choice of accessories to compliment any outfit and occasion. 

On the first floor we have a large books and music room with comfortable seating provided, so that you can take your time while browsing and pick the perfect item. We have a vast and ever changing selection of Homewares and Bric-a-Brac, from bargain items to antiques and everything in between. We stock Fairtrade food and drinks, gifts and cards all year round, and we have an amazing Christmas range, with gifts to suit all tastes and budgets. 

We also run an Online Shop from our Online Suite, sending high quality clothing, books and records all over the world. We have a Facebook page, full of information on what we do in store and how your support helps fight poverty all over the world. 

We have a large and varied team of volunteers, and we are always looking for new people to join our team. We have dozens of opportunities, including Customer Service, Stock Handling, Social Media, Online Sales, Book Sales, and many, many more.
