The studies cover Parasite Antigens, Immune Mechanisms, and Immunological Control of Parasitic Infections with concluding remarks about vaccines and immunological approaches to the control of parasitic diseases. Individual topics include : the chemistry of antigenic determinants on protein molecules, host response, immunological methods, antigenic variation, and immunopathology and the effects of parasites on immune responses; immune responses, macrophage activation, immunodepression, effector and escape mechanisms, secretory immunoglobulins, and eosinophil leucocytes; immunoregulating synthetic compounds irradiated vaccines, the purification of potential antigens, vaccination in schistosomiasis.

BOOK CONDITION : Good : small creases to the corners of the front cover; felt pin scribble to the top right of the front cover; otherwise covers in very good condition with only minor shelfwear; toning and a few flecks of foxing to the faces; inside pages are only mildly toned and are in very good shape; the binding is secure and sound.
