"...The purpose of this book remains the same. That is to provide the basic information necessary for intelligent and competent handling of oilfield waters. Organisation of the book has not been changed.
Briefly described in the first chapter are the properties, problems, and methods of treatment of waters as well as discussion of the usefulness and importance of water to the petroleum industry. Chapter 2 discusses the sampling and analysis of water. The next four chapters are devoted to the principal causes of problems encountered with use and handling of water. Chapters 7 through 12 are concerned with method of treating or conditioning water that will eliminate water problems. The last two chapters are detailed discussion of injection waters and plant waters. Some useful test procedures and sample calculations are included in the Appendix."...

Glossy pages. Contains tables, graphs and figures.

The corners of the cover have small dents. Signature with date from a previous owner is written in black felt pen on the inside front cover. Otherwise, book is in very good condition.
