Biography of John Philpot Curran (1750–1817), Irish orator, politician, wit, lawyer and judge, by Leslie Hale (later Baron Hale), the British Liberal Party, then Labour Party, politician. Cover, in light and dark green cloth boards with gilt titling to spine and gilt decoration, is in generally sound and clean condition with light shelfwear and very light fading to spine. Internally the book is in good, clean and firm condition throughout. A b&w portrait of Curran has been lightly attached at one edge to the rear endpaper with a light pencil inscription above. A very sound copy of this fascinating political biography by former Liberal and Labour MP Leslie Hale (later Baron Hale).
