Commemorative boxed set, number 363 of a limited edition of 1000. Signed by Freddy Bannister.

Dark blue box, 250 x 365 mm, with titles in silver and red on the cover. Containing: a matching envelope, 225 x 325 mm, holding reprinted programmes, handbills, and tickets; a photograph album, 215 x 150 mm, ring-bound, of 29 monochrome and colour glossy photographs; hardback book; 150 x 215 mm; dark blue boards with titles in silver on spine, and silver and red on front cover; 192 pages. No dust jacket.

The box and its contents are in very good condition. There are some marks on the box. The ring-bound set of photographs are curling up at the edges. The front cover of the book is very slightly bowed outwards. The front paste-down endpaper is inscribed: “To Phil Very best wishes Freddy Bannister”.

Freddy Bannister was a leading UK concert promoter during the 1960s and 1970s, and was the founder of the Bath Festival of Blues 1969, the Bath Festival of Blues and Progressive Music 1970 and the Knebworth festivals. The boxed set celebrates the early part of his career, the period during which he promoted many gigs in the Bath area, the smaller 1969 festival, and finally the giant 1970 festival.
